You may not have the qualifications yet, but that does not mean the career you want is out of reach.

Welcome to the Gradulink Careers Blog
Choosing the right career is not always easy.
You may know that you want a better job, more stability or the chance to work in a respected profession. The difficult part is often knowing where to begin.
You may also feel that your current qualifications are holding you back. In many cases, this does not mean that the career you want is no longer possible. It may simply mean that you need to begin with the right course.
The Gradulink Careers Blog has been created to make these career routes easier to understand.
We will regularly explain how you can work towards different professions across healthcare, public health, business management and IT.
Some of the careers will already be familiar to you. Others may be jobs that you have never heard of before.
The aim is to help you understand your options and show you that there can be a clear route into the career you want.
What will we discuss?
Each career guide will explain the profession in simple language.
You will learn:
What the professional does
Their main responsibilities
Where they usually work
The average pay in the UK
The qualifications and degree needed
How someone without the right qualifications can get started
How Gradulink can help throughout the process
We will break each career route down into clear steps so that you can understand what needs to happen first, what comes next and what you can work towards. All career options will be relating to the following industries: Healthcare, Business Management and IT/Computing/Cybersecurity.
What if you do not have the qualifications?
This is one of the main reasons Gradulink exists.
Many adults want to study for a professional career but do not have the qualifications needed to enter university directly.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to begin with a foundation course or a degree with a foundation year.
This gives you the chance to build the academic skills and knowledge needed before progressing to the main degree.
Gradulink helps you understand which route is most suitable for your experience, qualifications and career goals.
How Gradulink can help you
Gradulink acts as a competent and friendly guide throughout the process.
We can help you:
Understand which career route is right for you
Choose the right course
Find a suitable undergraduate degree
Apply even if you do not have the usual entry qualifications
Understand the financial support available to eligible students
Prepare your university application
Improve your CV
Prepare for job applications after graduation
Many of the courses available through our university partners are designed around adults who may already have work, family or other responsibilities.
Depending on the university and course, students may only need to attend around two days each week, with short teaching hours during the day.
The exact timetable will depend on the course and university.
New career guides will be published regularly
We plan to publish new career blogs weekly or every two weeks. Each blog will focus on one profession and explain the full journey in a simple way. You will also see shorter versions of these guides on our Instagram page. These will show the main steps to becoming a professional.
The full blog will then give you more detail about the job, salary, qualifications and support available.
Your current qualifications do not have to decide your future. The first step is understanding your options and choosing the right route.
If you’re interested in taking that first step, apply today through Gradulink and an agent will contact you to get you started.
You can also explore our latest career guides across healthcare, public health, business management and IT.
